Molded stainless steel plates (1.44 alloy) are soldered together in a special process in Long Term heat exchangers. The result is a fine network of flow channels on the primary and secondary side, permitting outstanding heat transfer within compact dimensions. The media are routed towards each other in an opposing flow. Heat transfer is so intensive that temperature gradients of less than 5 K occur at the outlet, that is to say the original warm medium has almost cooled to the temperature of the cold medium.
